A luxurious lochside escape in a breathtaking settingAn exquisitely restored 19th century stone cottage waits for you in a truly spectacular location. Right on the shore of picturesque Loch an Eilein, this former folly is now a dreamily romantic Highland retreat. You'll be looking out onto one of the most beautiful views in all the Highlands. Step inside, and you'll enjoy tranquil interiors; the cool natural palette mirrors the waters of the loch, its reflections of the Highland skies and heathery mountains. Whether you're on honeymoon, escaping together without children for the first time, or taking a well-deserved break together just because...Loch an Eilein Cottage brings out the romantic in everyone who stays here. The cottage was interior designed by leading London-based stylist and interior designer Fanny Ward, who designed it as a cocoon of warmth and comfort from the changeable Highland weather. A double-sided wood burning stove fills both the living room and bedroom with its welcome warm glow after a walk around the loch. The open-plan living room and kitchen are a relaxing space whether enjoying dinner or breakfast together - or simply sitting and looking out to the loch and its wildlife from a window seat. The sumptuous double bedroom has a large, underfloor-heated ensuite bathroom, with a bath and shower. The bedroom also leads to a sit-out-erie where you can unwind before dinner with a drink and a book. Or you may prefer to sink into a bubbly bath and enjoy a classic movie from the comfort of your tub whilst dinner cooks - after all, what contemporary retreat is truly complete without such modern luxuries? You'll feel happily secluded without being completely isolated - the walking path around the loch is nearby. You will be regularly visited by the local wildlife - deer, red squirrels, badgers and Highland birds. When (or if) you eventually decide to stray further than the loch and its forested shores, you'll be right in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, with its dramatic, mountainous landscapes, charming towns and villages and an endless range of outdoor activities - if you feel inclined to a little exercise. If not, there are plenty of fabulous spots where you can just stop to breathe in the priceless clear Highland air and the endless views. In the knowledge that of course few can truly rival your view from the window seat back at the cottage...
