Kingussies’s annual winter festival – FOOD ON FILM – brings the big screen to the rural Highlands of Scotland in a unique way, to celebrate and explore the world of food with a feast of short films, documentaries and features to make you laugh, make you think and make you hungry. With filmmakers and food producers gathering to share their passions and skills, the Cairngorms Food Hall showcasing the best of Highland produce, a Food Art Exhibition and a red carpet Film Award – it’s a recipe for a fabulous weekend!

The 22nd annual World Porridge Making Championships takes place in the Scottish Highland village of Carrbridge in Cairngorms National Park on Saturday 10th October 2015.The event draws competitors from around the globe to compete for the coveted Golden Spurtle trophy and title of “World Porridge Making Champion.” It also celebrates the diversity of porridge through a speciality section. www.goldenspurtle.com
