Golf in the Cairngorms National Park, Highlands

With some of the most scenic backdrops in the country, the Cairngorms golf courses are not to be missed!  The National Park has a great choice of both 9 and 18-hole courses.

In the west of the Park, the 9-hole courses of Carrbridge, Craggan and Abernethy Golf Club have plenty of character and will challenge even the most demanding player. Newtonmore Golf Course is set alongside the fast-flowing River Spey whilst the course at Grantown on Spey has soaring mountains and beautiful woodland as its backdrop. The Boat of Garten Golf Course is as demanding as it is lovely, set against the backdrop of stunning Cairn Gorm, while Kingussie Golf Club offers both stunning views and period charm.

In the east of the Park, the Royal Deeside villages of Ballater and Braemar offer 18-hole courses.  Braemar is the highest 18-hole course in Britain at 1,200 feet above sea-level (the highest 9-hole course is just up the road at Dalmunzie).  The greens are some of the finest in the area and the course will test golfers of any standard.  Ballater golf course lies next to the River Dee and offers stunning views of Lochnagar and a warm welcome in the club house.  Whichever courses you choose, you are assured of a warm welcome and excellent clubhouse facilities.

Aviemore and the Cairngorms Golf Pass
The Aviemore and the Cairngorms Golf Pass is your personal invitation to experience any or all of the seven golf courses in in the Aviemore area in the Cairngorms National Park.  It allows you to play on any of  the seven unique range of golf courses with the stunning natural backdrop of the Cairngorm Mountains.  The pass is available at seven of our golf courses for just £15.  It entitles you to a 30% discount at any of these great courses valid for the year.  Each course can be played once (18 holes) over the year. The Golf Pass can be purchased at any of the seven local courses. The only courses in the area not included in the pass are the Macdonald's Spey Valley Course at Dalfaber, Aviemore and the Ballater and Braemar courses in Royal Deeside.   When you buy the pass you get a voucher with a reference number on it.  You can buy the pass at each of the 7 courses and book your tee times over the phone with the golf pass stating the reference number on the voucher.
