Mountain biking in the Cairngorms National Park

It’s quiet and peaceful, the roads aren’t busy and the National Cycle Network crosses almost the entire area and includes 64km of off road routes. So whether you want to indulge your passion for cycling and take an entire holiday on wheels – most communities and accommodation in the Aviemore and Cairngorms area are linked by cycle routes – or you just fancy a day out, lots of fresh air and the best exercise you can think of, cycling or mountain biking in Aviemore and the Cairngorms gives you every opportunity to enjoy your own experience. Its is not all easy pedalling as we have some of the best mountain bike trails in Scotland. Head out into the wilderness with a map and a tent or hurtle down a man made trail, what's for sure if it's mountain biking the Aviemore and Cairngorms area has it all!

The area is just perfect for off road mountain biking. Easy woodland trails, challenging downhill routes and custom build white knuckle tracks await you. Look below for information on local bike companies and some suggestions for mountain biking routes. Join the Cairngorm Mountain Bikers Club on their weekly ride out.
