The Cairngorms Learning Partnership CLP brings together the provsision of adult learning throught the Cairngorms National Park.
By working together with a number of partners, we deliver a range of vocational, non vocational, recreational and residential courses and workshops making best use of facilities, expertise and resources available within the many communities of the National Park. We aim to deliver learning at the point of need!
Our current range of vocational courses is matched to the needs of local businesses; they enhance the skills and qulaifications of local workers and employability of individuals.
Our non-vocational and rrecreational courses support lifelong learning, as well as providing opportunities for individuals to develop their own small business.
Working with our partners in the Highland ESOL Providers Partnership, we provide English for speakers of other languages courses to help to improve communication, morale and team working for staff which also provides greater employee understanding of quality, HR and health and safety issues and creates enhanced customer satisfaction.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved independent accreditation as a British Computer Society (BCS) approved Training Centre. This is an important step for CLP and has been a lengthy process to achieve - although thanks to the organisation's experience and emphasis on quality learning and teaching, the final approval was granted with little hesitation.
This accreditation allows us to continue provision of ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) courses throughout the Cairngorms. Previously this has been done through UHI but this new accreditation will allow direct links to new online materials and support making the process quicker and simpler for learners.
Initially we will be offering ECDL Extra (Word, Excel, Power Point and Improving Productivity) but will build our provision as the need arises.
We are also very excited to have achieved approval from the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) to offer a new range of computing courses, Digital Passport and Internet Safety.
These accreditations widen our range of certificated computing courses and gives you the opportunity to improve your workplace skills in Microsoft Office, Information handling, Social Media use, Network set ups and Internet Safety and gain a certificate to add to your CV.
