Dine with a difference as you travel through stunning Highland scenery on a steam train.
Traditional Sunday Lunch on the Strathspey Clansman, served at your table every Sunday from 29 March to 25 October (Fridays too from 5 June to 25th September). Price, including rail fare, is £22 for adults and £12 for children. Lunch trains leave Aviemore at 12.30 and 2.45, Boat of Garten at 12.45 and Broomhill at 1.30.
Or, think hot oil, steam, white table covers and tinkling cutlery and, for that special occasion, take the Strathspey Highlander and watch the evening light across the Cairngorms and River Spey from the comfort of the dining car. Train leaves Aviemore at 7.30 returning at approx. 9.45 every Wednesday and Friday from the first week in June until the last week of August. Tickets £32 per person inclusive of train fare. On days the train runs (except Saturdays) the bar/buffet car is open for morning coffees, light lunches including soup 'n sandwich, and afternoon cream teas.
