The Wildcat Experience

The Wildcat Experience

Description

Hidden round the village, in gardens, on rooftops, peeping out from foliage, are scores of wildcats! These ones are models, life sized and accurate, and they are all painted in different designs and colours. Watch out for Paws for Thought, That Loving Feline, Cat-a-Log, etc.

The fun for you is in seeing how many you can track down. If you locate and identify 25 cats, you gain a certificate; find 50 or more for a certificate and small prize. If you find all of them (currently 132) you're a genius - and obviously very determined. You receive a certificate and bigger prize!

Children love this. It's a great way to get them out of doors and walking, but be warned, it's addictive for adults, too!

You can purchase a Wildcat Experience TrackPack from the Wildcat Centre beside the Village Hall. If the centre is closed TrackPacks and Trail brochures can also be purchased from the village Post Office and the Glen Hotel all year round.

Special Features

The Wildcat Centre is staffed by volunteers and offers information on walking in the area, including The Wildcat Trail, a 10km way-marked orbital route round the village of Newtonmore. OS maps, pens, t-shirts, etc are available for sale.
