Visit Britain's only herd of free-ranging reindeer. Living in the Cairngorm Mountains, these friendly animals are a delight to all.
Visits to the reindeer in the mountains leave daily throughout the year. Follow the herder as you make your way up to the mountain enclosure, walk amongst reindeer, stroking and feeding them as the herder tells you more about them. Situated in the centre of the Cairngorms National Park, you will also enjoy beautiful views of the Cairngorm Mountains.
Visits to the herd leave at 11am (and 2.30pm from May - September). There are reindeer in the paddocks at the centre from Easter to New Year. For those unable to make the hill trip the paddocks are easily accessible. Once in the paddocks, find the answers to the quiz and win a prize! Make an antler headband and can you find the hiding elves? Audio-visual exhibition and Reindeer Gift Shop.
In June, July and August, why not try an extra special hands on experience. Join us on a half day trek through our mountain enclosure whilst leading your own reindeer. Enjoy spectacular views of the Cairngorm mountains and walk through forest and over moorland. Treks must be booked in advance.'
