The cold season is here and the Cairngorms feels more like the arctic every day, the reindeer have grown in their thick winter coats to keep nice and cosy over the long winer.
Visits to the herd are every day at 11am at this time of year, you will walk amongst the reindeer, stroking and feeding them as the herder tells you more about them. Situated in the centre of the Cairngorms National Park, you will also enjoy beautiful views of the Cairngorm Mountains. The walk takes around 20 minutes and will cross some rough and muddy ground on the mountainside; sturdy footwear and waterproof layers are a must!
Visit numbers are limited so please arrive as early as possible.
Don't fancy the hill trip? For those less able, from Easter to New Year, we have a small group of reindeer in the paddock at the Centre itself.
