Clan Macpherson Museum

Due to the short season we have decided to stay closed this year in order to carry out some major refurbishments, we will re-open 1st April 2021 and look forward to welcoming you back then.
The Clan Macpherson Museum, situated at the south end of the village, contains fascinating relics, including James Macpherson's fiddle, the Black Chanter and World War 1 exhibition.

Discover the romance, loyalty and valour of one of the last of the Jacobites; Cluny of the '45. Witness the story behind Macpherson's Lament and the broken fiddle. Decide about the creator of the romantic Highlands, James 'Ossian' Macpherson. All this and more!
