Open year round CairnGorm Mountain's winter season normally kicks off in December and goes through until April. Depending on snow conditions and weather winter activities take place daily. From first day beginner to seasoned mountain expert, everyone can enjoy the mountain environment. You don't even have to ski. Come up and watch the action from the comfort of the Ptarmigan Restaurant in the Top Station or go out and enjoy the Family fun area and sledge park.

We can rent you everything you need to get going including, skis, boards, boots, helmets and clothing. Ask at the ticket office for details.
The best way to find your ski and board legs is to take a lesson with The Ski and Snowboard School. They are located on the mountain and can be called on 01479 861319.

Open daily subject to weather conditions and hours of day light.
Winter Hours are usually 9am until 3.30pm.
Dec - April 9am until 4.30pm
May - Nov 10am until 5pm (last train down at 4.30pm)
We normally close the railway for annual maintenance in November.
