Tigh Tuithe self-catered accommodation is situated in one of the most stunning locations in Scotland.
The house is a completely self-contained self catering unit attached to the main family home. It is built into the hillside and has a turf covered roof, hence the name Tigh Tuithe - meaning 'House with the Grass Roof'.
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and adundant wildlife, it is quietly secluded in tranquil Glenfeshie in the Cairngorms. Yet it is not too remote, with both Aviemore and Kingussie conveniently only 7 miles away.
The accommodation is very comfortable and fully equipped and comprises;
Two bedrooms, one double, one twin (cot available).
Open plan kitchen/dining area. The kitchen has a gas cooker and microwave.
Separate shower / W.C.
Use of washing machine/deep freeze in main house if required. Also drying room and ample storage. There is a large car park.
The living room has patio doors leading outside to a beautiful trout burn. Any brave souls in your holiday party can swim in it, joining the occasional otter and the salmon that come to spawn in the Autumn.
It is a real haven of peace and tranquility, a place to relax and admire the wonderful scenery and the wildlife. Roe and red dear are seen frequently, and Pine Martens feed at the house every night, with Squirrels feeding every day (they share a feeder). The area is a bird watcher's paradise - Peregrine Falcons are heard most days, and Ospreys fly overhead. Many species are seen on a daily basis.
It is available to rent all year round, and sleeps four to six people. It makes a great base for family holidays, as there are a myriad of activities in the summer, including gliding, watersports, horse riding, walking, golf, and fishing. In the winter months it is a snowball's throw from the Cairngorms Ski Resort (if you're very good at throwing).
