Dalwhinnie, accomodation, activities, information

Dalwhinnie is a small village set amongst dramatic mountain scenery in Badenoch within the stunning Cairngorms National Park. Dalwhinnie offers bed and breakfast accommodation and is an ideal base for hillwalking.
The mountains are all around: magnificent, moody, remote and desolate. Dalwhinnie, at the head of Loch Etricht, is a good base for exploring such goliaths as Ben Alder. Dalwhinnie's other draw is its distillery - the highest in Scotland. The excellent visitor centre is open all year round and offers you a 'wee dram'.
A little further on the main route north are the larger villages of Kingussie and Newtonmore.
