Adventure Travel World Summit 2010
The global body Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) will be holding their annual Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Aviemore over the week of 4 – 7 October 2010, attracting some 500 delegates to the area.
Delegates will include many of the adventure travel trades largest operators, key suppliers, major destinations, along with key press and media, each specialising in the outdoors and adventure travel industries.
The summit is a fantastic opportunity for Scotland, the Cairngorms National Park, and Aviemore to show the world’s adventure travel trade industry what we have to offer.
For more information about the summit programme, featured speakers, adventure days and more please visit the ATWS website at http://www.adventuretravel.biz/connect/summit/
Day of Adventure
As part of the Adveture Travel World Summit we are organising a Day of Adventure for delegates. Thank you to all providers who have contributed to this.
Logistics on the Day
Delegates have been asked to assemble in the Macdonald Aviemore Resort Conference Centre Auditorium (MAR) on Monday, October 4th at 8:30AM. There they will be met by their host(s) for the day.
What do you need to do?
• All hosts should be at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort for 8am. If you’re running late, call Alan on 07785 722936 and let him know your estimated time of arrival.
• On arrival, head to the main reception and go to the main auditorium
• Make yourself known to a CBP member of staff: Alan, Jacqui, Rachael or Sandra. We’ll be the ones in the black t-shirts with the Park bird on it and visitcairngorms.com on the back!
• If you have asked CBP to arrange a bus for you, you will be told where your transport is parked. The bus will have your ‘Trip Number/Ref’ on it. If your trip is number 33, there will be a ‘33’ on the bus window.
• If you are doing the transport, you should park your bus/car in the open area at the bottom of the main reception car park (area 6 on the downloadable map below). You will be given a Trip Number/Ref poster to put in the front window of your transport.
• In the auditorium you will be allocated a seat row in the auditorium for each trip you are running
• Your delegates will be sent to the ‘Trip’ seat row as they arrive at the auditorium by ATWS staff, where you will greet them
• At 9am an announcement will be made to welcome the delegates and send them on their way
• You will lead them from the auditorium to start their Day of Adventure!
