The Bikeathon 2017

The Bikeathon is a long established family friendly cycle event that takes place on June 25th and is organised by a partnership of Cycle Friendly Kingussie and Scottish Health Charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. It really is a fantastic day out for everyone with wonderful scenery, great support and medals and t-shirts for all participants. The event is based in and around the village of Kingussie in the scenic and picturesque landscape of the Cairngorms National Park. The ride sets off from the Start at Kingussie High School from 1030 and cyclists can take as long as they wish to complete the 25 mile route on quiet rural roads; the Bikeathon is definitely not a race!. The event also incorporates the Kingussie BikeFest with further fun activities to take part in at the finish back in Kingussie. The event route is suitable for all types of bike and all abilities - its all about taking part! All proceeds from the event go to support the vital services provided by Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland for people in the community recovering from life-changing illness helping them to get their quality of life back. Get on your bike and help make a difference to peoples lives...
