Landmark Forest Adventure Park:

A great day out with Fun, Discovery And Adventure for the whole family In The Highlands. Dalwhinnie Distillery:
Award winning Dalwhinnie Distillery is a VisitScotland five star attraction and the home to a famous Highland Single Malt Whisky renowned for its gentle flavours accentuated with notes of heather honey, citrus, vanilla and sweet malt. Set in splendid mountain scenery at the heart of the Cairngorms, Dalwhinnie is the highest distillery in Scotland at 1164 feet above sea level. The name Dalwhinnie is derived from the Gaelic language, meaning 'meeting place', referring to the meeting of ancient cattle drovers' routes through the mountains. The whisky and chocolate matching theme is carried forward with the availability of a selection of tasting flights matching the finest single malt whiskies with the superlative artisanal chocolates of Iain Burnett, the Highland Chocolatier.

Royal Lochnagar Distillery

Neighbouring Balmoral Castle, Royal Lochnagar is the perfect place to discover how Scotch Whisky is made. The distillery takes its name from the mountain, Lochnagar, which is a Munro, a mountain over 3000ft high. The Royal name was bestowed upon the distillery following a visit by Queen Victoria on the 12th September 1848. At the end of this, the first ever distillery tour, Queen Victoria enjoyed a dram of mature Lochnagar highland single malt scotch whisky.

Landmark Forest Adventure Park and Treezone Aviemore

Treezone is an aerial adventure course set high in the ancient Pines of Rothiemurchus. You will travel through the trees getting a squirrel's eye view of the beautiful forest whilst tackling fun and exhilirating challenges, safe in the knowledge that our revolutionary safety system has you securely attached at all times.

No 19 - Live like a King

A 17th Century Castle with an exciting story. Built in 1628 by the Earl of Mar as his Highland hunting lodge, burned in the first Jacobite uprising, home to the leader of the 1715 rebellion and garrison for government troops after the final defeat of the Jacobites at Culloden. Then family home to the chiefs of Clan Farquharson, now the only community operated castle in Scotland. Guided tours of 12 fully furnished rooms with knowledgeable local guides who want to share this unique castle with you. Children don't forget to count the teddybears.

No 27 - Work in a Distillery
Speyside Distillery:
Speyside Distillery, home of Beinn Dubh whiksy is nestled on the tranquil banks of the Tromie River.  It is widely acknowledged as being the prettiest of all Scotland's distilleries. Originally a barley mill and croft dating back to the 1700's it finally closed in 1965. Over the next 25 years it was slowly and lovingly converted into a single malt distillery which started producing spirit on the 3rd December 1990. The old mill and water wheel were retained and are still in working order.
The distillery takes it's name from the original Speyside Distillery in Kingussie which started in 1895 and only produced until 1905 before being demolished in 1911.The distillery is closer to the source of the River Spey than any other distillery in Scotland, providing access to the area's richest, purest water. The rivers of Speyside are renowned for their part in producing great whisky and their banks are home to many fine distilleries.

No 8 - Roam with Reindeer
The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre

The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd is Britain's only free-ranging herd of reindeer. These tame and friendly animals are a joy to all who come and see them. Reindeer are not just for Christmas.There are currently around 150 reindeer in the herd, mostly ranging on the Cairngorm Mountains with the remainder on the Glenlivet Estate, the locations being some 30 miles apart. The shop and paddocks are open daily (except Jan/early Feb) and there is a daily guided visit to the reindeer, departing from Reindeer House at 11am. There are additional afternoon visits during the Summer months. During the Winter, the visit may be dependent on whether we can find the herd. We said they're free-ranging and we mean it!

No 15 - Hostelling and Hottubbing
Lazy Duck Hostel

A magical Hut Hostel offering groups between of up to eight guests a tranquil homestead in the fringes of Abernethy Forest, - the sort of place you thought didn't exist any more. A fresh, colourful, snug, mountain hut hostel for up to 8 people tucked away in the fringes of the forest.  All warmed by a wood-burning stove. Outside the door a sheltered covered garden - sitooterie - with large outdoor table, open fireplace cum BBQ and basket chairs provide space for relaxing evenings around the log fire. You are invited to cut logs from the stack provided for this fire and leave a good pile for those coming after you. For couples' hut accommodation you might try the Woodman's Hut, Duck's Nest or Lambing Bothy each tucked away in the six acre homestead.

Relax on our garden patio or picnic area. Breath the fresh air and watch the wildlife in their rear garden - rabbits, red squirrels, pheasants, osprey flying over, pine martin and deer have all been seen at different times of the year. There is also a large decking area with jacuzzi hot tub which guests are welcome to use after a long day of activities.
